What Stay’s the Same

If you were expecting groundbreaking camera upgrades, you might feel let down.

No Battery or Charging Upgrades

Battery life and charging speeds remain virtually the same. The base S25 sticks with a 4,000mAh battery, while the S25+ and Ultra get slightly bigger ones, but nothing revolutionary. Charging speeds also haven’t improved (still 25W for the base model and 45W for the Plus and Ultra). With competitors offering 65W+ charging, Samsung is starting to feel behind in this department.

AI is the Star, But Hardware Takes a Backseat

Samsung’s big focus this year is on AI, with features like live call translation, AI-powered photo editing, and generative suggestions. With a shiny new design, upgraded specs, and a price tag that might hurt your wallet, it’s a decision that deserves some serious thought. We’ve all been there, staring at our current phone, wondering if the latest models really worth the money. 

If you’re a power user who craves the best of the best, or a photography enthusiast who wants a top-notch camera in their pocket, then the S25 series could be just what you’re looking for. But hey, if you’re happy with your current phone and don’t feel the urge for the newest model, there’s really no reason to hurry into an upgrade.

While the S25 series is highly recommended, it’s not a must-have for everyone. You should think about your needs, your budget, and your decision-making process carefully.

The Bottom Line

So, does the Galaxy S25 series matter?  The truth is I don’t see the Galaxy S25 series as a radical reinvention of the smartphone. It’s more like a powerful evolution, a refinement of what Samsung already does well. 

But it’s clear to me that Samsung have taken the best aspects of the S23 and S24, listened to user feedback, and poured that knowledge into crafting a reliable device. Thanks to the new-generation chipset that’s faster, more efficient, and better at handling multitasking.  As soon as you pick it up, you can’t help but notice its sleek design that feels both comfortable and excitingly different. You just know you’re in for something new.
